The Pain of Unquiet Evenings

Restlessness can ensnare you like a vice during the night. Every noise becomes amplified, every shadow takes on an ominous form. We crave for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the unbreakable spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

A Heavy Blanket of Insomnia

Craving for Sweet Oblivion

The clutch of oblivion was a siren's call, a searing promise of escape. To succumb in its shadows was here to still the incessant chant of existence. The world's sharp edges dissolved under the spell of its calm.

To truly long oblivion was to plead for a fleeting respite from the cruelty of being.
